I met with my friends at EW Process Solutions several months ago.
During that meeting, I proposed assisting with process skid designs, project management, and manufacturing oversight. Within days, Charlie with EW Process was asking about project assistance with 6 process skids. My scope was skid layout and design followed by project management and manufacturing oversight.

This project was a challenge due to very limited time constraints. Design, build, and delivery was under 12 weeks.
First Task: Equipment Layout

I generated equipment general arrangement drawings for multiple pump skids. Each skid included 2 pumps, associated pipe, fittings, and a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) control panel. After this, a platform had to be designed that would be robust enough to support any of the equipment layouts.

This was done for 3 skid designs.

Next Task: Production

Rusty with Anson Mechanical proposed on building and assembling the skids. I had worked with Rusty during my manufacturing career and knew the quality of his group's work. EW Process provided the pumps, associated valves and control panels.

As everything came together, Rusty's crew performed hydraulic pressure testing for each skid, and EW Process performed a VFD startup and rotation verification of the pumps.

All told, from project kick-off to delivery was approximately 12 weeks. Rusty and the Anson Mechanical crew delivered their work in 8 weeks.

A great job was done by all! It was a pleasure collaborating with both EW Process and Anson Mechanical on this project. Thanks to both companies for this opportunity.

Sharing of PSM Experience:
Management of Change
In August of 2025, I was invited to present at the North Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (NCMA) with a North Carolina Department of Labor Consultant Abigael Newton.

We discussed several Chemical Safety Board investigations and shared some of our experiences.

Also in October of 2025, I was invited to present at the Carolina Air Pollution Control Association (CAPCA) in with a panel of other professionals.

We discussed Accidents / Incidents Response, Incident Investigation and What to do in the Aftermath. My portion was the Management of Change of making improvements from what is learned from an incident.

I have been able to share some my experience with other professionals in the Carolinas.
